MonoMonday 100:  Celebrate

The body is wrapped in shadow
The face is built of cinders
And panic tears thro' your silhouette
As you're squeezed by burning fingers
And he crackling in our colours
With teeth of gelignite

When he sighs his song and pirouettes
Thro' a dance of dynamite

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Fireworks

Well, as I sit here and upload today's entry (my 355th), I have less than a handful of hours left to enjoy, from the first half of my 50's.  Midnight sees the start of the second half and my birthday.  So here, in anticipation of that celebration, are some rockets, to help me over that little hump (assuming of course, that it is not too wet and windy tomorrow)!

If you are at all interested in the music, the guitar work is by the great John McGeoch (sadly no longer with us).  This was amongst his last work with the band in 1982, later in the year he would be fired for the erratic behaviour caused by his alcohol addiction.  He was replaced by Robert Smith of the Cure - the Banshee's 3rd unique guitarist.

A big thank you goes to Skeena for hosting this week's MonoMonday challenge, which is of course its 100th.
