Learning day by day

Look no hands!

So this morning the kids watched The Polar Express, while we did a few last minute jobs. Then we had sausage sandwich brunch and headed out in the lashing down rain for Woburn Sands.

Luckily when we got  there the sun had come out, not that it mattered as the rink was covered. It was a 'real ice' ice rink and in a lot better condition than some of the London ones I have see, not really very wet at all. They both did really well considering it was their first time. Both managed to skate (of a fashion) without holding on, Carys doing some really good skating and some good falls too. Hot chocolate was had afterwards, it had to be done.

When we came home our elves had left new pj's (or Christmas bananas as Carys mistakenly said) and slippers for everyone, along with pizza, popcorn a new Christmas DVD (Elf) and a new set of Top  Trumps cards (Wonders of the World, which fit nicely in with the subject of the school Christmas play) and Reindeer dust. So popcorn is being eaten and soon it will be time to sprinkle the dust...
