After the Christmas services yesterday evening and this morning we went for our traditional Christmas picnic.   Fortunately the recent cold winds and huge waves had died down and the rain held off.  Off shore hundreds of oystercatchers were grabbing any bits of rocks that remained above the rising high tide (see extra)  To them today would mean nothing special but I wish you all a good and happy Christmas.
