Primavera

Only 364 days to Christmas, but the first thought on my mind today is that Spring is on the way.
It's too early yet for profuse displays of daffodils in the garden, but indications are that providing the weather remains reasonably mild they are not far off showing blooms.
So it was a welcome treat to see that our son and daughter in law had these in bloom at their place for this Christmas, yet alone thinking ahead till maybe March when they should be out.
I always regard the first blossoming of daffodils in the garden is a sure sign that Spring is truly on the way, heralding an uplift in our spirits.
Just maybe I can count on that being a little earlier this year. Certainly looking outside at the dismal December day of today and yesterday, that moment of Spring cannot come too soon,
