...on the 25th June, I blipped a Common Spotted Orchid Dactylorhiza fuchsii and Leenamaija commented that, in Finland, the Heath Spotted Orchid Dactylorhiza maculata is more common than the Common, i.e. the opposite to Great Britain. I replied that, on that very day, I had seen some Heath Spotted Orchids but that they had gone over too far to photograph. This evening, when the rain finally stopped, I went for a walk in another place where I know they occur and found that they have nearly gone over, too. However, on one of them, was a honey-bee (and other bonus insects), which gives enough interest to make it a blippable image! So, this one is for you, Leenamaija...
