Game On!

The Scene: Bents Lane
The Time: 06.20
The Players: Wendy and the Hare
The Action: Wendy steers her bike along the farm detritus down the centre of the lane to avoid unecessary squeaking from bicycle (luckily the brakes have just been fixed at exorbitant cost so at least that odd scraping and clicking has disappeared, and it means she can now stop at the bottom of the steep hill near school - always good) Sorry, back to the action....She keeps an eagle eye out for dastardly crows (see yesterday's Hare Part Deux).....Yes, she mouths silently.....Hare is there.....and he's at the bottom end of the field again.

The bike is unceremoniously dumped in the undergrowth at the side of the lane and so begins the stealthy, and somewhat ungainly, creep along the lane underneath the wall. Plan B today is to go past Hare then if he bolts in the same direction as yesterday......BLIP!

Carefully Wendy peers over the wall, ah......she holds her breath....he's right there across the wall....but....he's seen her and he's off.....did she remember sports mode...yes she did....beggar, the thing's focusing on a blade of grass - why won't it do that when you want it to?!*

But.......Hare has stopped.....he's looking.....he's standing......he's posing! BLIP!
