Hurry up Mum - I am starving

Now I really know I am home. Having been away for over a week, there has been no apple put out for the birds. Within five minutes of putting one  out this morning, the blackbirds had arrived.

I cant believe Mama Blackbird is still feeding those big fat lumps of chicks. Even when she flew off, the chicks just sat helplessly beside the apple - they had no idea of how to help themselves. ( See extras)
