Sauntering for the finish line.

We've been cycling for six months through the United States and all round New Zealand, enjoying more views, camp spots, packets of Ramen noodles and wild swims than I thought possible.

But today that distant horizon marked 'The End of this Little Adventure' became the tarmac beneath our wheels, that streak of civilisation neath those mountains. We rolled (no rushing) into Nelson this afternoon and pitched our little green tent one last time. Our journey, or a hefty chapter of it at least, is done. We fly home on New Year's Day.

Sad and happy all at once. What a ride.
