If what my mother used to say all those years ago is true, then pretty soon I'm going to look like one of these. In fact, if you look at the outer profile of them, she's probably been proved right. We're in that week of the year when, before Christmas, we bought all those 'picky bits' that we'd never buy at any other time and now they have to be eaten. The crisps, the nuts, the pretzels; something about Christmas makes you think that it just wouldn't be the same without them. However, being the eternal optimist I can see that I will be really happy later in 2016 when I compare my weight and see how much I lost since 1st January.
