- for tomorrow it may be gone - and in my estimation, that would be an awful shame

i am not one to pressure people - i don't believe in it - never have, never will - but i do believe in sharing my story - and if that helps to influence someone - to make a positive move - yay! my story with blipfoto began 5 and a half years ago - i'd had an auto accident - was feeling lost - struggling with ptsd - a headache condition - chronic pain - additionally i had lost employment after being with the same agency over 25 years - when you are recuperating from these kinds of things - you look for a lifeline - i began web surfing - bumped into a blog which mentioned this 'blipfoto' site - something about posting a photo a day - hmmmmm... - it took me a couple of months to venture there - i posted my 1st photo on 8/23/2010 - i have not missed a day since - no, not one day missed!

there is something about this community which draws you in - it is warm and welcoming - when i began, no one cared that i had no idea what i was doing - they still don't - it is more about family - coming together to provide support and encouragement to one another - i have been accepted here, warts and all - when i ask, people respond without hesitation, to help - i have developed friendships far and wide like no other - and i believe that's the secret of blipfoto - what blip is, the fabric of it - is the people - the community - the blippers who are posting every day - highlighting their fabulous photos - their wonderful creativity - it is that which has kept me here these last years - they are the 'heart' of blip - which cannot be taken away - how does that happen on a website?

it is that which we must not allow to dwindle away - our community, people! it is vital - it is alive! don't let it go

it is critical to our everyday and is the perfect recipe for the makings of...

a

happy day
