Waitomo

Whilst Sheila and Ali hunted glow worms and Margie and Diane ate, Catriona and I went bracken hunting in the bush. Earlier we had cruised 6% of the surface area of the lake at Taupo and viewed the Maori rock carvings  on the cliffs. Being cultured out, we headed home via Huntly which was closed, so we scoffed a pie at a petrol station and supped some coffee from Macky Dees.
For the bells we headed to the Victoria Park to meet up with Heather and Kirk and their pals. A picnic on the grass, some drinks, a bit of a ceilidh and then the fireworks from The Sky Tower. And it didn't start raining till after we got home. Sweet as.
