Orchid/triffid

Popped out for dinner at the Mother-In-Law's today, and took the opportunity to have a bit of fun with the vintage Flektagon lens and this orchid that she's been nurturing.

It was also a good chance to help Mrs G begin to get her head around aperture/exposure too, but as it happened her pictures turned out better than mine, so what do I know?

I've popped in an extra because it hadn't occurred to me until this shot that orchids are basically baby triffids, and now that it has, I'm going to have nightmares. Seemed only fair I should share it.
