Here we go again!

Olympe de Gouges - 4, rue du buis

The plaque on this building in Auteuil reads: "Dans cette maison habita Olympe de Gouges, écrivain féministe, 1748-1793" (In this house lived Olympe de Gouges, feminist writer). I pass by here often (the house is between the Monoprix and our apartment!) and I'm glad to be reminded of Olympe de Gouges, who wrote the "Declaration of the Rights of Woman" (1791) when it was clear that women were not included in the "Declaration of the Rights of Man" (1789). I've mentionned before how scarce commemorative plaques are for women in Paris.

I got a lot done today but didn't ever get too far away from the apartment. Neither did Ch who wanted a quiet day after being so busy with her friends yesterday. J and Th visited the Chateau de Vincennes this morning and really enjoyed it.
