Temple view

Backblipping our trip to Hong Kong

We started getting used to the subway system - which we would use a lot in our week here. Jumped down to the central business district to see the iconic HSBC skyscraper. Wandered through some very very posh malls (all designers). Karen resisted buying a watch for £5,000.

Our main sight for the day was the Man Mo Temple. Amazingly colourful spot in amongst high rises. It was thick with incense and we were lucky to see a ceremony - not that we understood it.

Part of the reason for the trip was that Karen was speaking at a conference and the activities for that started in the late afternoon with some opening speeches. Then the organisers took us to a floating restaurant for fun banquet meal, sharing food, lots of wee dumplings and the best sweet and sour ever :-)
