It has rained relentlessly all day.

And it has been a day for moving beyond Christmas - which has meant taking things down, and putting them in the loft. Where it is too easy to be diverted by other things which I rarely see.

Like this Phillips globe, which I have known for well over 50 years. It is a little tattered, and it is woefully out of date, (which gives it a certain charm) but it is also a familiar thing. I took a quick photo in a bit more light, then returned it to its dark corner aloft , below our roof
