'Richmond Bridge'

Backblip.

Today was time to leave Maria Island and head back to mainland Tasmania. We packed up our gear and loaded it into one of the trolleys to drag back down to the pier. We were booked to leave on the 10:30am ferry back and just before the ferry arrived it started to lightly spit rain and was blowing a gale, we were in for a fun ride back to Triabunna in the heavy seas. Just as we had everyones gear loaded and sat down for the ride back the heavens opened and it poured with rain for the entire trip back.

We arrived back (nobody getting seasick) and unloaded the ferry in the rain. Loaded up our car and bikes on the back and headed down to Richmond, our next booked accomodation on this trip. Not a huge drive down the coast, but an enjoyable one being in a nice warm car. Dropped our stuff at the cabin and headed in to Hobart for the afternoon. We arrived just as the Salamanca Market was packing up for the day, so wandered through the shops down on the pier precinct for an hour of so before having some dinner at a little dumpling house.

Back to Richmond and down to the historic Richmond Bridge for some night photography as the sun faded for the day.
