Quod oculus meus videt

It was a Better Afternoon

Had to make a visit to a site with drainage problems today.  When the rain kept coming down this morning I stayed in the office, hoping the weather may turn before I had no more daylight in which to make the inspection.  Fortunately, by lunch time the sky lightened and allowed me the opportunity to go to in good conditions.

I say good, but driving through country lanes at this time of year is never going to be a dry affair.  Thankfully we haven't suffered the horrors of flooding on the scale of many in the north and Scotland but I still did a lot of driving through large puddles.  My car still stands testament to the conditions.

I was attracted to this scene as I pulled around a blind corner near the site I was visiting.   I felt the black and white version gave this a timeless quality and emphasised the patterns in the clouds.
