Once again!

En route to Edinburgh today and stopped at the David Stirling memorial near Doune - not for the first time. Rather a dull day unfortunately.

David came up with the idea for the SAS and worked alongside the Long Range Desert Group in North Africa during WW2 - his family lived nearby at Keir. His story - The Phantom Major - is well worth reading.
