Quick before the tui comes

The poor sparrows get a short sharp shift when the tuis arrive so they drink quickly and keep a good look out at the feeder then off.
An extra of a fly I chased round the spud patch and never got quite sharp enough.
A neighbour came with his chain saw this morning and took down a dead cabbage tree and trimmed branches growing over the fence and then he and his wife proceeded to tighten the wires so the fence stood up properly.
This afternoon the extended family gathered at my late sisters property at Tapu Bay to farewell her family who had come from Auckland and Queenstown to tidy the place up and put it on the market and have  a last holiday. They have done wonders with waterblasting paths and steps and rebarking the garden and more shell on the pathways. Looks like new.
So if you want to buy a property by the sea in the sunny Tasman district now's your chance.:-))
