Yesterday I bought a pair of running shoes, knowing that once I'd got them I'd have to use them. And I did. Today. And even though I thought I was quite fit, yet again it seems that I'm not and I was only able to do a sort of long Scouts' pace, i.e. 100 steps of running followed by 50 of walking, and only for 15 minutes. Never mind, easy does it. Tomorrow a walk and Monday the climbing wall :-)
One thing though, why are nearly all women's running shoes a shade of pink? I've got nothing against pink, in fact I do have a fair number of pink items in my wardrobe, but I don't really want bright pink feet. Anyway, they're not so bad now as they're getting nicely covered in mud.
