Little Bumbler

I left some leeks to flower and now they are popular with the bumblebees. This is a little worker bee. There are not many around at present, but the large queens are out looking for nesting places. They must be the second generation for this season. Bombus terrestris.

It’s my birthday today and my son is bringing my daughter to stay for a couple of days. It will be lovely to have them both.
