Day at a Time

Ratho

Set out early to get through to mum and took a minor detour round by Ratho to walk along the canal. It wasn't exactly raining but it was very damp. The canal path was muddy and the canal an unappealing murky brown with all the rain. I don't think I've been in Ratho since I had a summer job in the kitchen of the Bridge Inn in 1975. Needless to say everything looked pretty different. Here's the office of the Seagull Trust with a couple of its accessible barges all tied up for the winter.
