An Auld Tin Can

The title comes from a question you would occasionally be asked when I was a kid.  Depending on your answer to "Are you a Billy or a Dan or an auld tin can?" meant that you were allowed on your way or you got a kicking.

A Billy was a Protestant, a Dan was a Catholic and an auld tin can got kicked by everyone.  Really, it was that stupid and dangerous where I grew up.
