On the Fells

Intermittent visible Glory in the Lake District today as I hope you can see from this Blip of the Fells above Derwentwater.  A mixture of rain and sunshine on a chilly day with some wonderful light.

We parked at Kettlewell Car Park and you can see in one of the extras that there is still some of it underwater.  Some amazing reflections in the morning sunshine.  Then the plan was to walk across the Boardwalk by Lodore and go over to Manesty.  You can see from the second extra that the boardwalk is still impassable.  That meant a long walk up to Grange over the Bridge and round the road and track down through Manesty woods, back round the lake edge path with a paddle thrown in and then back to the Car Park.

8 miles later, we adjourned to the Dog and Gun in Keswick.

Seems to me that this is a good time to visit the Lakes.  Very peaceful.
