A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Ground Control...

My only ever other diary, from deep in the mists of times long lost in mists of, um, time (you get the gist).  This was the log of two post-University nutters who thought that travelling from one end of London Bridge, to the other by the longest possible mainland circular route was a Great Idea.

4 weeks and some thousands of miles later we abandoned the trip somewhere on the Welsh border (having trimmed it to circumnavigating England) due to the car expressing it's opinion of all this silliness by expiring its alternator.

The relevance of this to today?

Every start of the day's trip was to the strains of 'Ground Control to Major Tom... ... Engines on. Check ignition."

Otherwise, today was another stuff-shifting trip to Oxford.
