A Battalion of Builders

In the background is the handsome 19th century (Council) building that used to be the hotel for Brunel's S.S. Great Western passengers who stayed there awaiting favourable tides.  Opposite, but out of frame is the main Council House (now poshly renamed The City Hall by our newish Mayor).  It is being refurbished at vast expense over a two year period and the fire alarms were singing merrily this afternoon hence the time out for the builders.  My charm of goldfinches were cheeping merrily too - see extra
