Dawn Light, Isaac Pool

A desperately sad day.  We heard today at work that a colleague, someone I had worked with for more than 27 years had died during the night.  It was not a surprise; Rob had been fighting against cancer for more than 6 months, but the extent and severity had proved too much.  Our thoughts go out to his family.  

Because of his years working for the same employer there were many people to contact to pass on the sad news.  We also made a point of reaching out to colleagues he had worked with in other parts of the council before the inevitable global email is sent out to everyone.  He will be missed.

The day had started so well, with an opportunity to capture this dawn light at the local pool.  I imagine my image may have been a lot more sombre had I known.
