Compare and Contrast

What have we lucky blighters in this northern outpost done to deserve two whole days of sun without even one drop of rain or flake of snow.

Considering what is going on in the rest of the country with flooded homes, broken bridges, swept away roads, and snow gates down in even more northern outposts, I think we Edinburghers can count ourselves lucky, even if it comes at the cost of a sharp coldness nipping at our noses and the still wandering hordes of tourists.
