Contemporary countryside pursuit

Had a great meeting today with people from Network Rail, looking at mitigation and biodiversity opportunities alongside the East-West Rail Project, which will re-open the line between Bicester and Bedford and eventually re-connect Oxford with Cambridge. We were looking at possibilities around Salden Wood and Salden Cutting, which has become a key butterfly site since the line was mothballed many years ago. The only downside was finding this car, recently wrecked and abandoned by 'joy riders' on an old agricultural rail crossing some distance from any road. If only these young guys (I think - may be wrong!) could turn that level of energy and ingenuity into something a bit more productive!
