Shetland

A cold and icy day. We went down to Rosemarkie for a walk. The tide was out so plenty of sand to walk on. Quite a few birds around including the usual gulls, rooks and crows plus red shank, oyster catchers and a male and female red-breasted merganser.
There was a halo round the sun with rainbow colours.
On the way to Avoch we saw an otter swimming along beside the road, no where to stop though but still good to catch a glimpse.
This little Shetland ,which I think must be miniature because it is sooo tiny, came down to say hello with it's two friends.
Down to -2.4 now so another cold night.
