Snow...

In spite of being so far north Manchester doesn't get much snow. Last winter I think I drove down the M62 from Liverpool and there was about 15 minutes of it that didn't stick at all. That was it. The last appreciable amount was January 2010 which was quite dramatic and threatened to scupper our trip to Egypt. It was touch and go if we could get off our drive and the airport was closed. But we got there. Generally, though, Manchester"s climate on the damp, western side of the country, is too mild for snow. They can get it up on the hills behind the city though.

Yesterday was cold and it snowed last night. Not vast amounts but enough to make its presence felt especially when you had to be up early to get into work. Here's my car with an icing of it on top. As it already has a white top, you can't really see it.
