The Tide Was Almost Fully Out

(... or A Very Dull Photo for a Very Dull Day)

1.9C and dull with light rain all day. Zephyr.

Maeve and I went for a walk a while after lunch. The Band from Rockall on the Nano (The Band from Rockall). We went down the road to the shore. No water running off the field beside the road today. There was a digger in the field yesterday spreading the material that was dumped in the field before the heavy rains. The little earth dam is still in place to protect the electricity substation if more rain comes.

Down at the bottom of the field where there is stubble from the cereal crop that was grown there last year more material has been spread by the tractors and trailers I saw spreading material on the long narrow field on the shore side of the railway line at the end of last week.

We went along the shore road and over the road bridge over the railway and had a wander along the beach at Westhaven. The rain was very light. The tide was almost fully out. I found one coloured pottery piece and saw but didn't pick up some good big pieces of green Sea Glass. We came back along the beach then crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
