Black on black

Further on the A Year with My Camera assignment regarding exposure another still life, now black on black (with a bit of white, metal and grey).
A mini Garuda statue overlooking a tin of special sea salt and a pair of black and white earclips laid out on black velvet. As explained by Emma Davies with the camera in Automatic setting this all turned out a bit overexposed and greyish (though not as bad as with an arrangement of only black objects) but by both increasing the shutterspeed and decreasing the aperture in Manual it's certainly possible to make it whole lot blacker while still being able to see the details. Still not enough to present it SOOC, but the editing in PS Elements was minimal.

Thanks very much for your kind comments, stars and a fave for yesterday's crabapples still life :-)
