Axe Murderers??

Dolly and I were off on a 'Friends and Family' tour today!  Our first visit was to our well-loved family friend, Queenie (top left picture) who now lives near Bath so we don't get to see her very often. She was a good friend of my mum's and if you've noticed some of Dolly's crocheted blankets in some of her pictures, it is Queenie who made all of them. Dolly loves Queenie and was very happy to see her.

Our next stop was to a blipmeet, visiting the crazy and fun lady known at blipfoto as 'Honeycombebeach' and her ever patient husband, Mr HCB. When I told a friend I was going to have lunch with people I'd never met before his response was: "Be careful, maybe they're axe-murderers!"

When I relayed this to them we all laughed and Mr HCB was sent to the garage to retrieve 2 of his axes for the props to a few photos!  The top right photo was actually taken by Mrs HCB. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit with them over a delicious lunch of homemade soup and bread and cheese, a walk around a nearby lake (frozen enough for the ducks to be walking instead of swimming) and more crazy conversation over tea and coffee.  You can read HCB's version of events in her own blip today.

After our reluctant goodbyes we headed over for a brief visit and meal with my sister to wish her a Happy Birthday.  A full day with almost 4 hours of driving around Berkshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire. A full but very happy day!
