Fanned Feathers

More interesting a tail planform in large.

I liked the shape of this magpie in the sky (they're interesting aerodynamically...); I had fun photographing them as they poked about in the treetops with their white primaries catching the sunlight when they spread their wings... The tail was spread here because it was flying very slowly.
