Purple Podded Pea #2

After all the fun and banter we had 2 weeks ago when I first blipped these peas, thought I'd take a quick shot of their pods, which are at the mange tout stage. They have now been picked and will be dinner this evening with our home-grown spuds and a few other bits and bobs.

As you can see the bees and other insects have been busy pollinating and even in this dismal weather there's a reasonable crop. My neighbour has some of these peas as well and tells me she picks them and eats them when she is passing!

Fed up with dodging showers and have settled indoors for the rest of the day :-(
