'The Six Guardians'

Six statues stately 'guarding' the brandnew Supreme Court at the Korte Voorhout are the new eye catchers cultural the Hague has to offer.
Only recently placed they are already becoming the talk of the town. Strange for they aren't new to the city at all...
They used to reside in front of the old Supreme Court at the Plein till they were removed in 1988. From that moment till now they have been in exile at a most unfortunate location - hidden as pillars between parked cars in the Kazernestraat / Bibliotheekstraat - and people forgot all about them, till now that is.
They are back and fully restored to their old glory and the entrance of the city heart has become even more richer!

These are the names of the six most influential Masters of Laws followed by their individual sculptors if you desire to wiki more info on them:

Simon van Leeuwen by Hildo Krop.
Johannes Voet by Mari Andriessen.
Joan Melchior Kemper by Ludwig Oswald Wenckebach.
Hugo de Groot by Johan Polet.
Ulricus Huber by Frits van Hall.
Cornelis van Bijnkershoek by Albert Termote.

(Note: I do hope the city will do a better job on the future lightning of the statues as I really had to add torch light of my own to improve this shot.)
