Tree Sparrows

Another bird shot today. 

I carried the 100-400 lens all around the village in the hope of catching something on the way. We passed so many birds, all thoroughly buried in the hedgerows, all singing their hearts out (in the knowledge, no doubt, that they knew they couldn't be photographed). 

When we got back home, of course, the back garden was filled with birds. 

These two caught the sinking sun nicely, albeit there was a fair amount of bramble and the like in the way. I think (I'm no twitcher) they're Tree Sparrows, which are red listed and although numbers may be increasing are a bit unusual, particularly in the west country. 

Tell me if I'm wrong. I usually am...
