Which way?

This quartet of ducks made me giggle today. So happy in the mud and - as my pal the Wildlife Warden pointed out - the photo is all the more amusing as none of them could agree which way to turn!

A visit to falconry to see the fab team Mark, Hannah and Reece was all the more enjoyable for checking how the baby chicks and ducklings are doing. Growing up fast and cuter than ever!

The birds of prey were inside on account of the rain and it felt such a privilege to see them up close again.

The Castle shops have lots of lovely new products and mum ran around the shop like an excited child giving me a big wish list for her birthday in the spring!

A slow three mile walk around the grounds in the drizzle with mum and dad was really lovely and we had the 500 acres pretty much to ourselves.

Dad and I discussed how it's a shame more people don't visit heritage properties on bad weather days. The wildlife and gardens look so different in the rain and there is always something new to discover.
