Armenian Wedding

What a lovely day - I attended an Armenian wedding at a stunning church downtown, attended by lots of friends and colleagues. Its was a beautiful event.

Armenian weddings are rich with ritual and symbolism. The climax of the ceremony is the rite of crowning. The bride and groom are crowned King and Queen of their home which they will rule with wisdom, justice and integrity. During the ceremony the couple face each other, with foreheads touching. The best man stands in between and holds a cross over their heads. After this the bride and groom drink from a common goblet, signifying that from this moment on the couple will share everything in life. A lovely celebration.

Congratulations Natasha & Khatchik!

Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit.
