Settling Snow

The snow falls, and then over the next few days it settles and sinks. But where it is supported by a reed or a blade of grass it doesn’t sink, but forms a small cone.
I’m on the frozen lake here, looking towards the shore and a bed of reeds. The sun is setting away to my right, creating all these lovely shadows.
The extra is a selfie, taken in the glorious sunlight, on the frozen lake.
About an hour ago I posted yesterday's Blip, snow tunnel, which you'll find here.
