Incredulity of Thomas

An open letter to the acting Blipfoto Management Board

Dear Sirs,
Blipfoto, indeed even Polaroid Blipfoto, has always prided itself on its "Be excellent" motto. Seemingly the last months of doubts and fears over the future of Blip has also brought out the worst of the Blip community, giving them the opportunity to unleash their real characters. I don't wish to name Names but a simple check on the comments on my Blip yesterday will give a small hint. I trust these doubting Thomases will be banned from holding shares in the new organisation.
Yours sincerely

Hans

Today marks the relaunch of Tractor Tuesday in line with the arrival of spring yesterday, (yes Angelique and Nogbad, S-P-R-I-N-G). So we set off for the morning walk to  Erkheim and the agricultural machinery dealers to Blip the rows of tractors and related equipment lined up for the start shot due when the Washington DC storm has finished with the UK and washed away the last remains of snow here. Couldn't decide which row to Blip, so went for the best German/Bavarian one I could find. Please note the cow on the right chewing at the cud to get out on the lush spring pastures and behind her the crates of beer waiting to be downed on the first spring nuptial rites festivals being held this coming weekend.

All joking aside, the weather is quite something, somewhere near Aachen broke the all time temperature record for January yesterday at over 18°C. My bees were extraordinarily active yesterday, almost feared they were about to swarm. I had checked them last weekend and was dismayed to see even more signs of massive losses and/or empty hives. I just hope the weather now doesn't again fool them in to a wrong sense of security.

Again no joking aside I did think of Nogbad and Angelique yesterday before they had posted comments - Nigel on the postcard following his lovely Blip a few days ago and Angelique (Mathew) when I saw a report of a hot air balloon meeting being held this week in Switzerland with about a dozen UK balloons and they showed the one sponsored by the Headland Hotel in Newquay!
Bonus ball extra photos today:
1) for Nogbad who despite it being on the wrong side of the Dartford ferry, will be amused at the thought of Farmer Franz and his colleagues driving over Bavarian pre-Alpine meadows with this emblazoned on their tractors.
2) for the would be skiers. This may be the last view of snow this year.

NB made 10 mins after posting the above.
It is midnight and after posting switched on Sky News to catch up on the latest from the homeland front. Wonderful to see the old gang is being re-formed to defend the White Cliffs. Finally we know the EU will be kept back, assuming of course the new bunch are half as good as the last lot.
