Up with the lark

What a lovely winter morning.  Bright sunshine, a touch of frost and not too much wind.  Walking around the village there were redwings and thrushes in the fields, buzzards and rooks flying overhead and great tits, bluetits, robins and wrens all calling from the hedgerows.  Then I walked out into more open fields and heard the wonderful song of the skylark.  At first they were hard to spot and too high sensibly to photograph but with a little patience, and a hedge to give me some cover, I managed to get this one as he fluttered past.
