Aerial ballet

Storm Gertrude has now hopefully blown past, it was a very blustery night. Now we have a fresh to strong wind and sunny intervals with clouds scudding past.

This great tit must have been watching the golden eagles on 'Winterwatch' last night as he is pretending to have massive talons while performing his aerial manoeuvres in a brief sunny interval.

Last July I went on a wonderful trip to Papua New Guinea and, of course, took loads of photographs.  From these pictures I compiled a photo book and I was fortunate enough to win the Bobbook book of the month competition for August 2015.  The twelve books of the month are entered into a book of the year competition which is decided by a public vote and I have just been notified that voting has now commenced for this.  If you want to have a look at my book which is entitled 'Papua New Guinea - Tribal Paradise', and perhaps even vote for it, you can find it at 'bobbooks.co.uk'.  Select 'bookshop' from the banner across the top and then select 'Vote now for Book of the Year 2015'.  If you click on my book cover it will open and let you look through the entire book.
