FLOWER FRIDAY

It seems strange to look out of our bedroom window and see two trees with blossom on them so early in the year - in fact, as we all know, this has been a strange year/season - with daffodils flowering before Christmas and blossom on trees since the beginning of January.

Here is a twig from our cherry blossom - which Mr. HCB kindly cut for me - and which I shall now enjoy on our kitchen windowsill.

The next job is to try and set up the superhub so if you never hear from me again, you will know it was unsuccessful!

In Japanese culture,
     the cherry blossom represents
the fragility and the beauty of life.
It’s a reminder that life is
     almost overwhelmingly beautiful,
but that it is also tragically short.
