Secret Bloomer

Beside the path to my house stands a tall camellia bush. This bush has rarely bloomed, probably due to living in the woods with more shade than sun. Today as I walked out the path with Music, a splash of color caught my eye. This bashful flower had tucked her self away among the lower branches and was hanging upside down as though to to hide her beautiful face. This time she was found by the early sun, her color and her lovely floating form were made visible by light. She could hardly know how enhanced she was by her place among the shadows.

My extra is of poor pearl, who found herself in the new and distressing situation of being up a tree without any idea of how to get down. A little encouragement and a lot of patience brought her down.
