The Kindness of the Waiters in Kandahar

We had an at home day today, only venturing out for a walk in the evening and dinner in Kandhar Indian restaurant. Both Bb and I caught up on a few admin-y things that we've been meaning to do and I made a start on marking assignments. My hands were cold, and the waiter saw me trying to heat my hands up on the hot plate that the food gets served on. After he cleared the table he brought me back a new hot plate for my hands! How nice was that?
