Orchid Buds II

These tantalising buds are waiting
to open when I've left the scene.
I hope on my return the blooms
won't be wilting, having been
and gone.

Two weeks today we leave for Madeira. There's still time for them to open before we go. They obviously grow very slowly. This is how they looked on 18th December.
