In the Footsteps of Fergus....

In the footsteps of Fergus....or perhaps we should say "in the Paw Prints of Fergus". This morning I took Maisie for her first ever walk along some of the tracks where I used to walk her predecessor, our lovely Fergus. We walked in bright sunshine to the second lot of stepping stones over the Taylor River. There she had a little paddle and drink. She, after much encouragement, managed to jump from one big stepping stone to another. Clever girl! She is becoming a joy to walk especially when wearing her nice red head halter. But it was almost too hot for comfortable walking and she had little rests in the shade. We finished off our walk with some fun with a friend's four dogs including Morrison, another Labradoodle. Morrison is a very big dog the same colours as Maisie. He is around eight years old and was bred by the original owners of the Labradoodleland Kennels. Maisie came from the same Kennels, but different owners. Morrison was the first Labradoodle I ever met and I fell in love with him at first sight. I am sure Maisie will be meeting up with Morrison and his doggie family on lots of future walks.
