Cattle and Cabbage Trees

Another hot day, though not as hot as yesterday. Yesterday was too hot and although I made a good start by turning out at dawn to see the planets, as the sun rose I declined. This morning I went to Darfield for my physiotherapy treatment. It was already hot and sunny when I left, but 4 kms down the road I ran into fog!  No sign of it here.

I took this photo on a short detour on the way home. Where the grass was cut for hay the new growth is very lush and green. After all the rain and gloom we had the unirrigated areas are as green as those under the huge irrigators.
